Mayor Myron Bailey, Representative Tony Jurgens, and Presbyterian Homes and Services President Dan Lindh spoke at the Norris Square expansion on August 22. Many Norris Square residents, community members, and staff attended the ground breaking.

“One of the things, since Day 1, I’ve always wanted to see in Cottage Grove is an opportunity for seniors as they got older to be able to stay in our community,” said Bailey, “Presbyterian Homes stood up and said we want to be in this community.”

The expansion addresses a variety of needs for Cottage Grove, including adding a care center with 72 beds, a 68 unit skilled memory care facility, and an additional 64 independent congregate housing units.

In his remarks, Lindh commented, “I want to say thank you to Mayor Bailey and the community. It’s been a delight working with the Planning Commission and City Council and beyond that, the staff.”

Norris Square is located at 8200 Hadley Avenue S.
